Shannon Airport has announced its summer 2025 schedule, unveiling two new services and a significant capacity boost of 190,000 seats, an 11% increase compared to 2024. The expanded offering will see 36 services operating to 11 countries, giving passengers a wider range of options for holidays and city breaks across Europe, the UK, and the USA.
Among the highlights of the summer schedule is a brand-new twice-weekly service to the Portuguese island of Madeira with Ryanair, marking the first time Shannon has offered direct access to the Atlantic archipelago. In addition, TUI will launch a new charter service to Palma, Mallorca, further enhancing the airport’s portfolio of sun destinations.
The Shannon Airport Group CEO Mary Considine, said “We are anticipating a bustling summer with 332 weekly flights on our 36 services, including new routes to Madeira with Ryanair and Palma with TUI. The increased frequency on thirteen services, adding 190,000 extra seats, reflects Shannon Airport’s growing popularity as a vital gateway for European, UK, and transatlantic travel. Shannon Airport will see an 11% increase in services for summer 2025 compared to last year, including 16 additional weekly Ryanair departures to popular destinations such as Faro, Malaga, Alicante, Barcelona, Edinburgh, and Porto.
The expanded schedule is backed by a nationwide advertising campaign across TV, radio, press, YouTube, and social media. Passengers can also benefit from the newly enhanced Shannon Airport mobile app, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
