Ryanair has launched its latest route connecting Dublin to Rabat-Sale Airport (RBA / GMME), marking the airline’s continued expansion in Morocco. The new service, which began operations on March 31, will run twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, operated by Dublin based Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The inaugural flight, RYR162/3, was operated by the Boeing 737-800 aircraft, EI-GXN (msn 44856), which took off from Dublin Airport for the first time to the Moroccan capital.
Rabat becomes the third Moroccan destination offered by Ryanair from Dublin, joining Agadir and Marrakech on the carrier’s growing network to the North African country. The new Rabat route is part of Ryanair’s broader strategy to expand its offerings this summer, with a total of 122 routes operating to and from Dublin Airport.
Ryanair Communications Director, Jade Kirwan, said “Ryanair is pleased to see the first flight of our new Summer 2025 route from Dublin to Rabat take-off , carrying lots of happy holidaymakers and marking the beginning of the Summer 2025 season. This exciting new Summer 2025 route will operate 2 times per week, offering our Irish customers even more choice at the lowest fares when booking their summer getaways.”
Rabat, the capital of Morocco, is situated along the Bouregreg River and the Atlantic Ocean. The city is renowned for its blend of Islamic and French-colonial architecture, with notable landmarks such as the Kasbah of the Udayas. This royal fort, dating back to the Berber era, is encircled by meticulously designed French gardens and offers stunning views of the ocean. Another iconic symbol of Rabat is the Hassan Tower, a 12th-century minaret that rises above the remnants of an unfinished mosque, standing as a testament to the city’s rich historical legacy.
