Qatar Airways is increasing capacity on its Doha Hamad International Airport–Dublin service this summer, with the introduction of the larger Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The upgauge is scheduled to take effect from 11 July 2025 and will continue through the end of the summer season on 25 October 2025.
The 777-300ER, featuring 354 seats, will replace the 311-seat Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner currently operating the daily QTR017/018 rotation between the two cities. The move reflects growing demand on the route as well as the airline’s broader network expansion strategy for 2025.
The Gulf carrier had earlier deployed the 787-9 Dreamliner on its second daily QTR019/020 service to Dublin, starting 28 March 2025. This aircraft features Qatar Airways’ latest cabin product, with 30 Business Class Qsuite seats and 281 Economy Class seats, enhancing passenger comfort and onboard experience.
Qatar Airways’ service to Dublin continues to benefit from its strategic codeshare agreement with Aer Lingus, enabling seamless connectivity across Ireland, the UK, and beyond. The partnership allows Qatar Airways passengers to connect via Donegal, Dublin, London, and Manchester, with Aer Lingus and Aer Lingus Regional operating the feeder flights.
