Pegasus Airlines has increased frequency on its Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen–Dublin route, upgrading from four flights per week to a daily service effective 30 March 2025, coinciding with the start of the IATA summer season.
The Turkish low-cost carrier has cited strong market demand as the driver behind the expansion and is utilizing a flexible fleet strategy on the route. Depending on passenger loads, Pegasus is operating the service with a mix of aircraft including the 186-seat Airbus A320neo, the 189-seat Boeing 737-800, and the higher-capacity 239-seat Airbus A321neo.
Pegasus currently operates a fleet of 120 aircraft, comprising six Airbus A320ceos, 45 A320neos, 59 A321neos, and nine Boeing 737-800s. Looking ahead, the airline is poised for significant growth following a $36 billion order placed on 19 December 2024 for 200 Boeing 737 MAX 10 aircraft. The order includes 100 firm commitments and 100 purchase rights, with deliveries set to begin in 2028.
